For 10 years, the Garcia Center has been at the forefront of cultural movements taking place in San Bernardino. Using the revitalized space handed to us by our elders to create community wealth through all that our facilities offer. More than a building, the center has been a sanctuary for creativity, a gathering place for neighbors, and a launchpad for local artists leading in the cultural ecosystem. As we celebrate this milestone and honor Dr. Dorothy “Dotti” Garcia’s vision, we’re also celebrating the artists, cultural bearers, art leaders, educators, and entrepreneurs who are shaping a thriving future for San Bernardino.

Richard "Westkoast" Castro is a graphic designer, illustrator and creative director in San Bernardino who has worked on many  brands such as Famous Stars and Straps, Suavecito Pomade, OG Family, and Insomniac, just to name a few. Currently the owner of Originals Magazine and Co-owner and curator of Barrio Fuerza, rooted in San Bernardino, Rich has been a major influence in the culture, and continues to push for a better community.
